Why life shouldn’t be taken for granted
108 billion humans have walked across this planet we call earth. 108 billion people have called earth their home. 7 billion are currently living on Earth today. 6.5% of the human being population is alive right now. You are nothing abut 1 out of the 108 billion population.
Not to mention, this universe is gigantic. There are a billions of stars and billions of planets. Heck, there are probably millions of planets right now that are inhabited by living and possibly intelligent lifeforms. And here you are sitting on your computer screen. Reading a post about why YOU are special.
Seriously, why are you so special. Out of all of the human beings that have existed.. What makes you special? For all the universe cares for.. You’re just a few million particles taking up space in this vast unknown space.
Well, what makes you feel pretty darn worthless and insignificant right? Well not to me.
Why?
It reminds me that eventually I’ll die. Eventually there will be a new generation of people that will eventually take my place on Earth. There will be a whole entire new generation of people and so forth. Everything we’ve built right now will be taken up by a new generation. So, it makes me want to leave a mark. It makes me want to strive for success so sometime those generations in the future will look back and be able to benefit off of what I did.
That’s what makes me strive and remember that life shouldn’t be taken for granted. Not because #YOLO or something stupid like that. But because I want to make a mark for those in the future.

So, an anon hinted at me that if I was to make a blog of nothing but text posts, he/she/it would follow me or something along those lines. Anyways, I thought it would be healthy to make a tumblr of nothing but text posts. It would be good to have a separate blog for rantings/opinions/thoughts since my main blog is slowly turning into a “photography” blog or whatever..
Anyways, I can’t promise I’ll update this frequently but if I ever have a thought or something, I’ll gladly post it on here in hopes of getting my voice heard :3
